Ken is a Senior Project Manager with D&S Contractors, Inc. Mr. Kopka has over 35 years of experience in the field of construction management. Ken is a highly motivated and has experience at developing plans and specifications, overseeing design/build projects to completion, payments, state accreditations and regulations. Especially skilled at building effective, productive working relationships with customers, vendors and staff.

Prior to his employment with D&S Contractors, Ken was the Executive Assistant for Special Projects and Assistant to the COO of Facilities & Physical Plant of Wayne County Community College. He oversaw the interactions between the architect and the general contractor and the interactions with both state and local agencies and managed multi-million dollar projects.

His time spent with both a major university and one of the fastest growing Community Colleges locally, has given him a keen sense of the intricate challenges of bringing individual groups together for the completion of both complicated and time sensitive projects. Mr. Kopka brings to the team excellent management, interpersonal and public relation skills.

Ken has an AAS degree in Architecture and Architectural Construction from Henry Ford Community College. Ken and his wife Penelope currently reside in Northville. Together they have two daughters and two grandchildren.
